turing locke hotel

A few weeks ago, I was very kindly invited to attend a summer event at the beautiful Turing Locke, an apartment-hotel run by Locke hotels. I had the pleasure of staying at Eden Locke in Edinburgh a couple of years ago so I knew their latest UK opening in Cambridge wasn’t going to disappoint.

I stayed for a couple of nights and immediately had the “home away from home” feeling when I checked in - which I think was partly down to their familiar fragrance. The interiors were dreamy throughout (which my photos attempt to justify) and the hotel staff were all so welcoming.

*disclaimer - the stay was gifted but all opinions are my own!

things you should know

  • Price - rooms start at around £100 per night (or cheaper if you sign up to be a member) which I genuinely believe is great value.

  • Location - it’s easily accessible by public transport e.g. I took the train from London King’s Cross and then taxi/bus to the hotel. I recommend the bus as it was £3 for a 24 hour ticket!

  • In your room - the apartments are well-equipped with everything you’d need for a short stay. You can expect a TV, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, fridge/freezer, cooking equipment, yoga mat etc. You get the gist…and because it’s still quite new, everything was in top condition.

  • Hotel facilities and nearby - there’s a restaurant, bar, cafe, co-working space, outdoor space and rooftop terrace all for you to utilise. But there’s also a (huge) Sainsbury’s down the road (2 min walk) so you can easily stock up for your stay. And opposite this is the bus stop that will take you into the city centre.

  • Wifi - the connection was consistently strong which meant I was able to work all day (both in my room and the co-working space) without any disruptions.

Thanks for reading,

T.
