my everyday details - the simple explorer

The “Simple Explorer” blog and photography page initially started as an online space for me to share my UK travel adventures and encourage others to appreciate the beauty closer to home. My photos have always been about capturing the little details in my travels and the places I have stayed. Unfortunately, Covid put an end to that before I really got the chance to start.

So, since the first lockdown (i.e. over a year ago!) my page evolved a little to capture those everyday moments, but at home. It was things as simple as the way the sun lights up my room first thing in the morning or my coffee of the day.

I work full-time in the finance industry which means I usually only get the time to use my camera on weekends. So, I decided to start a weekly series (or at least attempt to…) where every Sunday, I share more candid moments from the week. These will be unedited and mostly iPhone photography.

So, here’s to week one!
